This role sits within ABB's Robotics business, a leading global robotics company. We're entering an exciting new chapter as we’ve announced the plan for SoftBank Group to acquire ABB Robotics. This Position reports to:
Local Division Controller
Your role and responsibilities:
- Oversee project financials, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring accuracy in balance sheets, income, and cash flow statements.
- Drive project cash flow optimization, revenue realization, and gross margin contribution in collaboration with the Project Management.
- Manage currency risks, bonds, guarantees, and tax matters to ensure financial stability and compliance.
- Participate in monthly project reviews, ensuring alignment with Project Controls and Planning/Scheduling teams.
- Provide financial and commercial input during contract negotiations, risk reviews, and project execution planning.
- Promote commercial awareness within project teams and ensure financial strategies are integrated into execution plans.
- Foster collaboration across teams and functions to maximize results and improve financial performance.
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field (CPA, ACA, or CIA qualification preferred).
- 5 years of experience in project finance, operational finance, or financial controlling, preferably in a B2B or industrial setting.
- Strong expertise in project accounting, financial modelling, and risk management.
- Proven ability to translate financial data into actionable insights to support decision-making.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, capable of engaging effectively at all organizational levels.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems (SAP preferred); experience with data analytics tools is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and detail-oriented approach to work.
