THE OPPORTUNITY
Dematic is delivering a landmark warehouse and logistics automation project for a global blue-chip client. Valued in the mid-billion AUD range and spanning 80,000 sqm, this impressive project includes automated storage and retrieval systems, conveyors, racking and robotics. From design through to installation, commissioning, testing and handover, you’ll be part of a world-class automation project running from 2024 to 2028.
This role offers:
A full time role on a fixed term contract until July 2027, with the possibility of being extended or even becoming permanent
mostly daily on-site work in Tarneit, Melbourne, with some limited WFH days – so flexibility will be required.
As our Project Contract Administrator, you’ll take ownership of the commercial and contractual administration for this supply and installation of a major automation project. This is a great opportunity for a detail-driven professional with strong contract administration experience, solid commercial awareness and the confidence to partner with internal and external stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
Administer equipment supply and installation contracts and keep project delivery moving smoothly
Review and manage invoices to ensure accuracy, compliance and timely approval
Provide practical contract advice to project teams and management
Keep project documentation accurate, organised and audit-ready
Track contract milestones, deliverables and deadlines
Partner with project managers, engineers and stakeholders to manage contractual obligations
Work closely with legal, finance and procurement to resolve commercial matters
Manage the change order process from review and negotiation through to timely processing
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
A degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Construction Management, Law or a related discipline
Strong construction or installation contract administration experience
A good understanding of construction or installation processes, materials and methods
Sound knowledge of contract law and construction industry regulations including SOPA legislation
Confident negotiation, communication and stakeholder management skills
Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time management
Confidence using financial control software and Microsoft Office
Desirable
Proven experience in Construction and installation contract administration
Strong knowledge of contract law and construction industry regulations
