About Dave Jones

At Dave Jones, we provide plumbing, HVAC, fire protection, and electrical and services to our customers. We strive to be the company most revered by its people, customers, partners, and communities. Our culture is built on a shared commitment to being humble, hungry, and smart — because a team with the best culture and the best people will always win. About the Role

We're looking for a Project Assistant who can be a true swiss army knife — someone who thrives on variety and isn't afraid to wear a lot of hats. This is a unique opportunity to split your time supporting both our Residential and Commercial New Construction teams, giving you broad exposure across the business and a front-row seat to how projects come together from both sides. You'll work closely with Project Coordinators and Project Managers in each department, providing the administrative backbone that keeps jobs moving — from inspections and job packets to project documentation and day-to-day problem solving.

If you're organized, adaptable, and energized by a role that changes day to day, this is a great way to build a foundation in construction administration with a company that's growing fast and promotes from within.

Compensation:
  • $22 - 25hr (Based on Experience)
  • PTO + Sick Days + Paid Holidays
  • Work From Home Flexibility + Flexible Hours
What You'll Do
  • Receive inspection requests and coordinate with municipalities to schedule inspections for the Residential & Commercial teams
  • Create job folders and packets — print plans and build job packets for Construction Coordinators to complete project takeoffs
  • Track builder portals for required project documents (cabinet plans, appliance specs, spec books) to ensure the field has everything needed to complete projects
  • Assist vendor delivery drivers with directions or access to jobsites as needed
  • Take on miscellaneous projects and duties across the Residential & Commercial Department
  • Provide a flexible, go-to resource for both departments as needs arise

RequirementsWhat We're Looking For
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1 year of office experience preferred (construction experience is not required — we'll teach you the trade side)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A proactive, detail-oriented, "figure it out" mindset
  • Comfortable multitasking and shifting priorities across two busy departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Benefits
  • Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)
  • Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)
  • Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)
  • Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
  • Family Leave (Maternity, Paternity)
  • Short Term & Long Term Disability
  • Training & Development
  • Work From Home
  • Wellness Resources

Skills Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Approximately one year of office experience
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, problem-solving mindset
  • Ability to multitask and shift priorities across departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
