Keeley Construction is looking for a Project Accountant to join our Accounting Group in St. Louis, MO.
Primary Responsibilities
- Set up new jobs & prime contracts in CMIC.
- Create monthly Lump Sum and T&M owner billings utilizing AIA documents, including all required backup based on owner contract, posting billings timely and accurately.
- Review owner contracts for required billing, lien waiver and other accounting related responsibilities.
- Final review and approval of all assigned project related supplier & subcontractor invoices to ensure costs are posted timely & accurately.
- Approval of weekly check runs to ensure all suppliers and subcontractors are paid within terms.
- Prepare, collect, and monitor all appropriate lien waivers necessary for release of payments.
- Assist vendors and subcontractors when inquiring on invoice/payment status.
- Print job reports for projects managers as necessary
- Monitor accounts receivable status and assist with collection if necessary.
- Reconcile all job billings monthly.
- Assist Project Managers with other job cost related tasks.
- Provide mentorship to junior-level project accounting team members.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Minimum of six months of applicable internship experience or 1-2 years of construction accounting experience is required.
- Familiarity with pay applications required.
- CMIC experience preferred.
- Full-cycle AP and AR experience preferred.
- Familiarity with construction accounting software preferred.
