Job Description:
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Project Accountant to support our finance team with processing subcontractor invoices, maintaining accurate accounts payable and receivable records, and ensuring effective communication with subcontractors and internal teams. The ideal candidate will have a background in Accounts Payable, a strong willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively with both US and local team members.
Experience & Educational Qualification:
- B.com/M.com/MBA Finance 
- 2 - 6 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounting, or a related field. 
Key Responsibilities:
- Process subcontractor invoices in a timely and accurate manner. 
- Communicate directly with subcontractors to ensure monthly billings are accurate and aligned with contractual terms. 
- Collaborate with the onshore team weekly to provide updates, share progress, and receive training. 
- Assist in reconciling AP and AR accounts as needed. 
- Support month-end closing activities related to project accounting and subcontractor payments. 
- Maintain well-organized and complete financial records for auditing and internal review purposes. 
- Continuously improve processes and documentation related to AP and subcontractor billing. 
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies effectively and professionally. 
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial controls. 
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. 
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills. 
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal). 
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms). 
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. 
- Willingness to learn new systems and processes. 
- Experience working in a project-based or construction environment is a plus.
