Exus is seeking a Project Accountant that 
will support the day-to-day accounting activities for the Exus 3rd party client basis projects. They will be responsible for reviewing financial transactions performing month end close and responding to management and investor inquiries. This role is a blend of recurring accounting functions and variable projects.
Please note: this is an fully onsite role with reasonable flexibility in our downtown Pittsburgh office.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the management of day-to-day accounting activities to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, internal policies, and external audit.
  • Partner with manager on and own monthly/quarterly management financial and metric reporting and monthly variance analysis.
  • Develop internal policies, processes and procedures that are appropriately tailored to be effective and efficient in our company environment. You will drive process improvement and automation efforts to streamline accounting operations.
  • Complete the accounting month-end/year-end close process.
  • Partner with the accounting team leadership to construct month end close cycle cadence to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and manage all journal entries and account reconciliations as part of the general ledger month-end process.
  • In conjunction with the project, construction, and asset management teams, prepare internal budgets and forecasts for each project. 
  • Complete other duties as assigned with the accounting and finance team. 


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
  • 3+ years of public or private industry experience required.
  • Solid technical knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Strong proficiency in accounting and financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
  • Experience in managing and coordinating multiple projects and meeting deadlines.
  • Wind and/or solar energy project development, renewable energy industry and partnership experience preferred through not required.
