The Project Accountant will work closely with office leadership and Project Managers to inform and advise them on the finances of the office and projects. You will be a member of the office management team and connected to the Perkins&Will corporate accounting group. You must love creative problem solving and translating numbers into information that your colleagues can understand. This role will be either in Seattle or San Francisco.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Teams with Project Managers and office leadership to track project financial performance including reviewing project work plans, budgets, and staffing plans for fee alignment; provides project financial training as needed.
- Performs accounting functions including time and expense reporting, client invoicing, collections, accounts receivable, accounts payable, journal entries, etc.
- Conducts reporting and analysis of monthly financial and operational metrics, ad-hoc financial analysis to support executive decision making, budget, and variance analysis.
- Supports the annual operations plan.
- Prepares and files all local Business License Applications, Sales & Use Tax Returns, and occupancy tax returns if required by the office.
- Supports the reporting requirements of the firmwide corporate accounting group.
- Maintains open communication with other offices on projects that are coordinated among multiple studios to work.
- Shows initiative and ability to work well independently and with others.
- Exhibits strong organization, attention to detail, and time management skills.
- Able to pivot and have a “hands on” working style.

- Having experience with Deltek Vision, Vantagepoint, and/or Esker software is a plus!

Salary Range Information
