Annual Salary $63,000.00 + Full State Employee Benefits
Travel is occasional. Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master’s degree and one year of professional experience,
- OR Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience
- OR an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional level experience for each year of the required education.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the direction and supervision of Background Investigators I, II, and III's in their assigned duties.
- Manages staff to maintain accurate and timely determinations of criminal history records, through the use of critical thinking skills and an understanding of policy and law.
- Fosters a positive working environment and maintains excellent customer service.
- Works closely with Child Care Services staff to maintain a system of quality improvement.
- Responsible for supervision of staff completion of state-wide background checks for Child Care.
- Responsible for overseeing the the creation of policy, training, and improvement of processes.
*Preference may be given to candidates w/experience in Child Welfare and/or Child Care Services.
