The Opportunity:
As a MSC IBS Programmer/Analyst, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications, as well as providing technical support to end-users. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting software and system issues, developing and implementing software patches, maintaining documentation for support processes and providing exceptional technical support to our clients. You will leverage your expertise, SQL databases, user support and software development to troubleshoot issues, design and modify software systems, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
- Provide first-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Maintain and manage SQL/SAP databases, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Develop, modify, and design new or existing software systems to meet client needs.
- Collaborate with business analysts and development managers to ensure projects meet standard requirements.
- Document and track issues, resolutions, and work performed in a ticketing system.
- Potentially train new users on software and hardware functionalities.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction through exceptional interpersonal and relational skills.
- Work amicably with multiple clients with varying technical abilities.
- Utilize problem-solving and conflict resolution skills to address and resolve client issues effectively.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active Secret clearance
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Proven experience in help desk support and technical troubleshooting.
- Proficiency with SQL databases and experience in database management.
- Software development experience, including creating, modifying, and designing software systems.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work with business analysts and development managers.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with clients of varying technical abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desired:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a technical related field.
- IAT Level II Certification (any of the following): CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP
- Knowledge of Department of Defense methodologies.
- Experience with the US Navy Military Sealift Command.
- Tier III application support experience.
- Help Desk experience (does not mandate working as a Help Desk technician).
- Experience in conducting research and development.

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$56,000-$117,500
