Position Title: Programmer – Automation
About the Role.
As a Programmer in Automation at Novonesis, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our production facilities. You’ll be at the forefront of designing, coding, testing, and optimizing automation systems that drive efficiency, quality, and safety across our operations. Working closely with global standards and local teams, you’ll turn innovative ideas into reliable, real-world solutions.
This role is perfect for someone who thrives on problem-solving, enjoys collaborating with stakeholders, and takes pride in building robust, future-ready automation systems.
Design & Build: Take projects from concept through detailed design, coding, testing, and delivery—always aligned with Novonesis global standards and guidelines.
Optimize & Innovate: Drive automation engineering and system optimization to ensure world-class production facility performance.
Collaborate: Work with project stakeholders to align designs with business needs and ensure seamless implementation.
Standardize & Share: Contribute to global automation standardization efforts and actively share knowledge across regions.
Comply & Document: Ensure all programming meets regulatory requirements and is thoroughly tested and documented.
What We’re Looking For
Education & Experience
B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Automation Engineering (or equivalent).
1–5 years’ experience in process automation solutions/systems.
Strong hands-on skills with automation platforms such as ABB 800xA, Sattline, Procos, AVEVA, Rockwell (or similar).
Familiarity with ISA-88, batch systems, PCS, PLC, and SCADA systems.
Personal Qualities
A proactive, result-oriented team player who takes ownership.
Strong communication skills—able to align technical solutions with business needs.
Organized and focused on delivering projects on time, within scope, and budget.
