Programmer Analyst Senior

The B2B Team at Associated Bank leverages IBM’s Sterling B2B Integrator (B2Bi) and ITX (f/k/a /WTX) to provide our clients with the data they need, in the format they require, for integration with their systems. Our development needs continue to grow, and we are looking to expand our team as a result! We are looking for a Developer to complete coding, testing, technical support, and maintenance using these B2B products. This individual will contribute to efficient software development, as well as the creation of standards, processes, and procedures. They will also be responsible for identifying technical requirements, documenting technical designs, and presenting enhancement ideas to the B2B team leader. Senior-level individuals may also provide technical guidance or mentorship to other colleagues.

This person will,

• With limited guidance, designs, codes, compiles, tests, debugs, modifies and documents new or existing application programs following accepted standards, procedures and guidelines. Integrates bank systems with various-third-party applications, environments and vendors.

• Meets with analysts/users to gather technical requirements and writes appropriate system design.

• Identifies, researches and resolves program, machine, data or system software problems to maintain production system SLAs.

• Provides technical guidance, assistance or advice to colleagues less familiar or experienced with programming languages.

• Evaluates user requests to determine specific tasks and effects on new and existing programs and systems.

• Composes test cases and test plans from specifications and code that are consistent with testing methodology.

• Highly knowledgeable of relational database concepts and can apply these skills using Microsoft SQL Server or other relational database systems.

• Recommends application-level process improvements to supervisor.

• Plans own work using resource plans to complete assignments within agreed upon SLAs

• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in professional societies.

• Demonstrates ability to work as part of a team. Possesses highly developed written and verbal communications skills, expressed through participation in project team meetings, specification development and presentations.

• Leads small teams (including colleagues and external contract resources), analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines. May lead work orders, following established project management methodology.

• After a three-month onboarding period, join the on-call rotation for the B2B Team.

Requirements
Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Required

Experience

• 4-7 years Programming in a role that includes analysis Required

• Experience with IBM B2B products such as Sterling Integrator, SI Mapper, GPM, ITX, etc. Required

• 7-10 years Programming in a role that includes analysis with exposure to financial services systems and support Preferred

• Experience with a variety of data types and file formats such as EDI ASC X12, ISO 20022, SWIFT, BAI2, XML, NACHA, FAIM, and CSV. Preferred

• Experience with SharePoint, MS Office, Visio, PagerDuty, PowerShell, GitHub, Jira, Confluence Desired
