Group R&T has an excellent opportunity for Programme Manager(s) and a Integrated Master Scheudler to join the UltraFan Demonstrator Project team in Derby. This role supports the growth and development of the UltraFan Demonstrator and Group R&T Technology portfolio. The successful candidate will need to have a strong customer management focus, a proven track record of delivery and the ability to operate in a complex environment with conflicting priorities.
The UltraFan Demonstrator Programme Manager - R&T role(s), will be working for the R&T Demonstrators Chief Project Engineers across the Cold End and Hot End Technologies (respectively) and will support the co-ordination and delivery of the following elements of the R&T Demonstrators Value Stream. This is an exciting time in Group R&T with this role offering the successful candidate the opportunity to grow with the UltraFan Demonstrator
programme and deliver future of R&T Demonstrator programmes.
The UltraFan Demonstrator Integrated Master Scheduler, will be working for the R&T Demonstrators Programmes Executive and will support the delivery and execution of the Integrated Master Schedule across all current and future Demonstrator Programmes.
Responsibilities:
As the UltraFan Demonstrator Programme Manager, you will support the Chief of Technologies in both the Cold End and Hot End Work Packages respectively to deliver the UltraFan Demonstrator Programme(s):
- Define, establish and govern the appropriate component Design and Make plans.
- Define and deliver the five-year plan (5YP) through rolling wave approach, ensuring essential Gross to Net Affordability is forecasted, committed and executed.
- Identify and resolve resource ‘pinch points’ and support the Work Package Owners in building a high performing team.
- Define, deliver and maintain the Supply Chain and Procurement Strategy for the assigned Work Packages.
- Define, deliver and maintain the Programme data and Operating model for the UltraFan Demonstrator Programmes.
As the UltraFan Demonstrator Integrated Master Scheduler you will support the Programme Executive and the R&T Demonstrators PMO to:
- Define, establish and govern the R&T Demonstrators Integrated Master Schedule – enabling an agile approach to Demonstrator Programme Delivery.
- Define, deliver and maintain the IMS ensuring alignment of data across 5-10YP affordability, resource profiling and value stream delivery. Ensuring a consistent single source of the truth.
- Accountable for a clear line of sight to key Project and Senior Stakeholders across ET&S on status, performance and delivery enablers for the R&T Demonstrator Programmes.
- Accountable for the integration and governance of the IMS and its associated Programme Milestones, Key Performance Indicators, Forecasts and Programme Scenario Planning.
- Working across the R&T Demonstrates Value Stream to deliver improvements and enabling challenging programme delivery timescales.
Who we’re looking for:
- Degree level qualification preferable or equivalent industry experience.
- Evidence of strong use of P6 to deliver complex and highly integrated Programmes of work. (IMSr)
- Ideally a member of a professional body or working to achieve appropriate level of qualification (region-specific).
- Strong knowledge of project/programme management principles and the ability to apply this knowledge effectively within a technical or specialist area
- Strong leadership and performance management skills, with the ability to set clear expectations, manage performance and deliver results through others.
- Good understanding of resource management and operational planning, with the ability to identify and resolve resource and operational challenges.
- Ability to work autonomously, using sound judgement to make decisions and knowing when to seek guidance or involve appropriate subject matter experts.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across multi-functional teams and influence at different levels.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, identify risks and maintain focus on key programme objectives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex information, identify issues and develop practical solutions.
