- The Lead - Gender,
Girl Capital and Adaptation provides strategic leadership and technical
expertise to mainstream gender equity across SFH's programming, advances
girl capital development initiatives, and drives adaptive management
processes that strengthen programme quality and impact.
- The position holder
serves as the organisation's subject matter expert on gender analysis, human-centred
design, behavioural change, and adaptive programme management, while
building internal and partner capacity to implement gender transformative,
girl-centred interventions.

highly analytical professional with deep expertise in gender studies,
proven experience leading human-centred design programmes, exceptional
research translation skills, and strong training and coaching capabilities
- Experienced working with governments in a technical
advisory role, especially in the use of programme learnings, research, or
other communications materials for policymakers.
- Experience working with donors (including multi-lateral,
bi-lateral, foundations, etc.).
- Demonstrable experience in providing technical
assistance, including capacity assessment, training, coaching and
mentorship.
- Ability to generate outcomes beyond the focused
programme through strategic collaborations.
Requirements
The requirements for this role are detailed as follows:
- Master
of Science (MSc) in Gender Studies, Gender and Development, or a closely
related field
- Bachelor's
degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies
- Certifications on Project
Management
- At least 10 years’ experience working in the public health or
development space, with the last three in a managerial role.
- Experience in advocacy and citizens engagement, and skills transfer on
HCD will be an added advantage.
Technical:
- Project Design, Management, and Technical Oversight.
- Strategic leadership, Team Management and Capacity strengthening.
- Donors, government, and stakeholders’ management.
- Thought leadership (Knowledge Management, Technical
writing, Documentation).
Behavioural:
- Results-oriented and attention
to detail.
- Passionate
commitment to gender equality and adolescent girl empowerment
- Curious
and learning-oriented with comfort navigating ambiguity.
- Creative thinker and problem-solver.
Skills Required
