The Opportunity:

Support the Program Manager by managing day-to-day program operations, deliverable tracking, and cross-functional coordination for Department of Defense mission systems. As a Deputy Program/Project Manager, you will: 

  • Support the Program Manager in planning, monitoring, and executing program activities across multiple concurrent workstreams 

  • Manage the tracking, submission, and quality review of Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs) to ensure on-time delivery and acceptance 

  • Coordinate training activities, schedules, and completion tracking for program personnel 

  • Manage travel planning, coordination, and reporting in support of program execution requirements 

  • Identify and facilitate resolution of operational issues, acting as a liaison between technical and functional areas 

  • Provide direct support to the Program Management Office (PMO) across administrative, operational, and reporting functions 

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Program Manager in day-to-day program operations, including scheduling, resource coordination, and status tracking 
  • Maintain CDRL tracking logs, monitor submission timelines, and coordinate quality reviews to ensure all deliverables meet contractual acceptance criteria 
  • Support the development and maintenance of program status reports, progress reports, and management review materials 
  • Coordinate and track staff training requirements, including security training, technical certifications, and onboarding requirements 
  • Plan, coordinate, and process travel requests, ensuring compliance with program and corporate travel policies 
  • Serve as a point of contact between technical teams, functional support areas, and program leadership to resolve operational issues 
  • Support action item tracking, meeting minutes, and follow-up coordination for program reviews and status meetings 
  • Assist with maintaining program documentation, including Work Management Plans, Personnel Rosters, and Standard Operating Procedures 
  • Support onboarding coordination for new personnel, including scheduling, orientation, and documentation tracking 
  • Monitor program performance metrics and assist in the preparation of recurring program status and management reports 
  • Support subcontractor coordination and communication as needed to maintain program continuity 
  • Assist with maintaining configuration management and document control processes for program deliverables 

Qualifications:
Required: 

  • Active Secret security clearance (required) 
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience 
  • 5+ years of related professional experience in program/project operations support 
  • Experience supporting program business and functional operations 
  • Demonstrated experience tracking deliverables, schedules, and status reporting 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and priorities 
  • Experience coordinating training schedules and tracking completion requirements
  • Experience coordinating and processing travel arrangements and related documentation 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with technical and functional teams 
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision 
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and facilitate resolution of operational issues 

Desired:

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility 
  • Experience supporting DoD or government program offices 
  • Familiarity with CDRL management processes and Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) 
  • Experience with program management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or SharePoint 
  • Familiarity with Contractor Progress and Status Reports and related program management deliverables 
  • Experience supporting security training coordination and compliance tracking 
  • Knowledge of Government Furnished Property (GFP) processes and tracking 
  • Experience with travel management systems and corporate travel policies 
  • Familiarity with configuration management and document control best practices 
  • Previous experience in a PMO support role for a defense contractor

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200 - 158,100 USD
