The Role:
- We are seeking a highly skilled Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of high-quality products and services to our clients. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire delivery process, from project initiation to completion, ensuring timely, on-budget, and quality delivery of all services and solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
Responsibilities:
- Project Delivery:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of projects, ensuring they are completed within scope, time, and budget constraints.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (technical, business, operations, etc.) to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor and report on project progress, risks, and issues, ensuring proactive risk mitigation.
- Engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and team members.
- Communicate project status, timelines, and risks to stakeholders clearly and effectively.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by ensuring that all expectations and requirements are met.
- Manage and motivate project teams, ensuring they have the necessary resources and support to succeed.
- Foster a collaborative and productive team environment.
- Provide guidance and coaching to team members to enhance performance and career development.
- Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
- Ensure that the appropriate resources (people, tools, and technology) are available to deliver the project successfully.
- Drive continuous improvement of project management processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Implement best practices in project delivery and share lessons learned from past projects.
- Facilitate retrospectives and feedback loops to improve team performance and delivery outcomes.
- Ensure that all deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
- Collaborate with quality assurance (QA) teams to incorporate testing and validation into the project delivery lifecycle.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Delivery Manager or in a similar role (e.g., Project Manager, Scrum Master) within an IT or technical environment.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and delivering complex projects.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, etc.).
- Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, MS Project, etc.).
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Client-focused with an ability to manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Certifications (Optional but preferred):
- PMP (Project Management Professional), Prince2, Agile, or Scrum certifications.
- ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) certification for IT service management
