The role: Program Manager
We are looking for a dedicated and proactive program manager to drive the success of Gerber’s factory-related project portfolio. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless execution of projects, from planning through to completion. As a program manager based in Portland, Oregon, you will collaborate across multiple functions and teams to deliver key initiatives and meet business goals. You’ll be working closely with project sponsors and cross-functional teams, ensuring that each project is delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with Gerber’s broader strategic objectives.
This position is based in Portland, OR, US and reports to our Gerber Factory Director, Steve Allred. The role is full-time and is onsite.
What you’ll do:
- Project leadership: Lead projects across various teams, ensuring successful planning, execution, and completion.
- Stakeholder engagement: Work closely with factory leadership, the VP of supply chain, and project teams to define scope, resources, and timelines.
- Risk and budget management: Oversee the budget and governance for key projects while managing risks and ensuring timely delivery against goals.
- Cross-functional coordination: Collaborate with teams and external vendors to align project requirements and ensure smooth execution.
- Reporting: Regularly update leadership on project status, risks, and progress, ensuring transparency at all stages.
Who we’re looking for:
- Experienced leader: 5-8 years in a project or program manager role with a proven track record of managing complex projects.
- Effective communicator: Comfortable speaking on behalf of senior stakeholders and skilled at keeping teams and stakeholders updated regularly.
- Change champion: Strong experience with change management principles and manufacturing processes.
- Organized and strategic: You’ll bring exceptional leadership, time management, and organizational skills to the table.
- Detail-oriented: Able to manage multiple projects with tight timelines, ensuring attention to detail across all stages of execution.
Skills + qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in an applicable field.
- PMP certification a plus.
- Experience with SAP or equivalent ERP systems.
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of Lean principles and SCRUM methodology is a plus.
