We are currently seeking a Energy Efficiency Project Manager II to join our Energy Efficiency Programs Department. As a member of the Energy Solutions team, you will have a broad impact on energy efficiency markets and greenhouse gas reductions through our work for North American Program Administrators and other national leaders in energy efficiency. This unique market opportunity, paired with Energy Solutions' mission driven approach, creates a perfect environment for an individual who wants to have an active voice in shaping the nation’s energy future. The person in this role will be the program lead for an Illinois-based Energy Efficiency Utility Program. This unique role will work with our retail team and apply sales data from residential appliance retailers to our incentive program. 

The person in this role will be expected to live in Illinois and do local quarterly day travel. They are also expected to have prior experience working in the energy industry.


Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:   

  • Overall direction, management, quality control and completion of program deliverables 
  • Communicating program progress to management, clients and external stakeholders 
  • Planning and monitoring timelines to complete projects on time and on budget
  • Interacting with customers, clients, and external collaborators 
  • Developing and managing multiple complex project budgets, forecasts and tasks with minimal oversight 
  • Conducting market research and data analysis on residential appliances
  • Regularly attend and participate in industry workshops
  • Process Program incentives and ensure accuracy

 

Minimum qualifications:   

  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience (graduate school years applicable) with a degree; a minimum of 7 years of work experience without a degree
  • A bachelor's degree with an energy-related discipline preferred but not required
  • A minimum of 2 years project management experience 
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills 
  • Demonstrated outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, including risk management and mitigation
  • Strong technical writing, data analysis, verbal communication and presentation skills 
  • Ability to manage tactical and strategic tasks
  • Ability to interact professionally with clients and to serve as the primary point of client contact for some projects
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft Office (Office365, SharePoint, OneNote), Excel and PowerPoint in particular
  • Willingness to conduct business travel

Compensation is commensurate with experience with the pay band of  $75,000 - $90,000/Annually

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
