The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a dedicated and creative Program Manager to grow our Hydration North America manufacturing initiatives, delivering results against some of the most complex business and technology initiatives.
The Program Manager will be responsible for working directly with Avantor’s clients to assist in developing product design requirements across the project journey. The Program Manager will also be responsible for the planning and execution of projects from post award to revenue generation. This role will utilize novel project management approaches and tools to advance the project execution within a cross-functional environment, ensuring timely project completion.
This role will be a full-time position. Travel will be required based on need of the project.
What we’re looking for

Education: Bachelor’s degree (B. A. / B. S.) in Marketing, Finance, Communications, Sciences or equivalent field is required

Experience: Minimum 5 years in a project management related role is required

Preferred Qualifications:
-
1-3 years’ experience working in Biopharma Production industry highly preferred
-
Experience and/or knowledge of GLP/cGMP environment is a plus
-
Experience working for a CDMO organization is strongly preferred

Accountable for the planning and delivery of customer directed buffer / media outsourcing projects from internal project acceptance through project closure for North American based clients.

Facilitate Avantor’s response to customer RFI (request for information) and RFQ (request for quotation) for custom buffer / media projects through internal cross functional collaboration with sales, product management, R&D, operations, and quality.

Assist customers in refining their outsourced product design requirements through a deep understanding of their end use application and recommend appropriate Avantor solutions including value added packaging configuration, QC release criteria, regulatory support, etc.

Responsible for authoring statements of work (SOWs) to ensure alignment between client requirements and internal capabilities. These documents should capture all product design requirements, manufacturing strategies, quality and regulatory support, and price structure leading to a customer executed letter of intent or contract.

Accurately define timeline and resource requirements for assigned projects; timelines must accurately reflect all internal and external activities to ensure adherence to target dates for milestones and completion.

Accountable for developing and maintaining a master project plan that includes project milestones, durations, and cross functional accountabilities for all revenue generating activities throughout the scope of the project (LOI execution, process development, engineering and validation, commercial manufacturing, QC/QA release, shipment, etc.)

Responsible for ensuring all project deliverables are completed per the committed timeline laid out in the master project plan. Ensure revenue recognition timing for the project stays on track.

Manage and lead internal project team meetings by developing agendas, facilitating the meeting, capturing action items, and following up with meeting minutes.

Manage and lead project governance calls with external clients and internal cross functional team members that focus on project progress, timeline adherence, changes to the project for continued project alignment. Responsible for developing the agenda, facilitating the meeting, capturing action items, and following up with meeting minutes.

Responsible for tracking and reporting project performance (financials, timeline, escalations, additional support requirements, etc.) to leadership at predefined milestones.

ENVIRONMENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL EFFORT (Under Typical Positions)

Typically works in an office or manufacturing environment with adequate lighting and ventilation and a normal range of temperature and noise level.

Work assignments are diversified. Examples of past precedent are used to resolve work problems. New alternatives may be developed to resolve problems.

A frequent volume of work and deadlines impose strain on routine basis.

Minimal physical effort is required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically weigh less than 10 lbs.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$99,000.00 - $164,000.00
Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
