Program Manager, Government Relations
State-Level Programs
We’re looking for a driven, execution-focused Program Manager to lead the delivery of large-scale state programs. In this role, you’ll guide cross-functional teams through complex implementations, ensuring scope, schedule, and deliverables are met with excellence.
You’ll serve as a trusted thought partner, operational leader, and primary liaison between internal teams and external partners — bringing clarity, structure, and momentum to every phase of the program lifecycle.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex challenges, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work that directly impacts educators and students.
The impact you’ll have:- Lead cross-functional teams to successfully execute state-level programs
- Develop and manage detailed program schedules and core PM documentation
- Track, document, and report on deliverables, action items, risks, and decisions
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks while navigating competing priorities
- Facilitate internal and partner-facing status meetings and reporting
- Serve as the voice of the partner internally and the voice of the business externally
- Build strong relationships with key clients and decision-makers
- Collaborate closely with sales, partner support, professional learning, reporting and rostering, psychometrics, research, and product teams
- Contribute to RFI/RFP responses
What we’re looking for:
Experience- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- 2+ years of experience supporting state-level or large district assessment programs
- Experience working with digital assessment products
- Experience partnering directly with senior stakeholders, including State Departments of Education
- Experience with interim assessment and/or curriculum products preferred
- Familiarity with Curriculum Associates products and services a plus
- Formal project/program management training, PMP a plus
- Strong communicator who listens well and builds trust quickly
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Results-driven with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Effective problem solver who navigates ambiguity with confidence
- Able to “connect the dots” and gather information across teams
- Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment
- Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- MS Project (or comparable scheduling tools)
- Smartsheet
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Salesforce
- PowerBI experience ideal
- Advanced Excel skills preferred
Travel: Up to 20%
Benefits and Pay Range:
Pay Range – This role’s range is $69,250-$118,250. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that Curriculum Associates considers in making compensation decisions based on our Compensation Philosophy. Actual base pay within that range will vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, prior experience and relevant skill sets. At Curriculum Associates, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances for each case. This role is also eligible to participate in the company bonus plan. The Company recognizes that minimum wage varies by location and will ensure all compensation decisions comply with applicable state and local laws.
