About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Program Manager to lead a high-profile GenAI program for a major airline client. This transformative initiative, spans across multiple workstreams, focuses on developing GenAI-based use cases leveraging AI, cutting-edge digital technologies, data strategies, and Microsoft Azure Cloud solutions.
As the Program Manager, you will coordinate across global teams - including Orion’s India-based development team - and engage with US-based customer teams and Orion US team to drive success, manage budgets, and deliver strategic updates to senior executives, including the CTO and other executives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Leadership & Strategy:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of a highly visible GenAI program that spans multiple workstreams.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive program roadmap aligned with strategic business objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on program goals and deliverables.
- Stakeholder & Team Coordination:
- Act as the primary liaison between the US customer teams and the India-based offshore development team.
- Ensure seamless integration and coordination of work between onshore and offshore teams, setting clear expectations and timelines.
- Conduct regular cross-team meetings to discuss requirements, progress, and resolve any coordination issues.
- Facilitate effective communication channels to bridge geographical and cultural differences, ensuring all teams remain aligned and informed.
- Executive Reporting & Communication:
- Prepare and deliver executive-level weekly status reports, including progress updates, risk assessments, and strategic recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with senior customer executives, including the CTO, ensuring transparency and alignment with program goals.
- Develop concise, high-impact presentations and documentation tailored to a senior audience.
- Budget Management & Risk Mitigation:
- Oversee budget tracking, manage updates, and ensure that program expenditures remain within approved limits.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks and issues, implementing proactive solutions to keep the program on track.
- Maintain financial accountability and report on budgetary performance to senior leadership.
- Technical and Digital Expertise:
- Leverage a strong understanding of GenAI, data strategies, and Microsoft Azure Cloud to guide program decisions.
- Stay current with emerging digital technologies and industry trends to inform program innovation and continuous improvement.
- Program Governance & Process Improvement:
- Establish and enforce program management methodologies and best practices.
- Drive process improvements to optimize program delivery and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards relevant to the airline industry.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in , Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 7–10 years of program or project management experience, with a demonstrated track record of leading large-scale digital transformation or technology initiatives.
- Proven experience managing global teams and multi-disciplinary workstreams.
- Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of GenAI applications, data analytics, and Microsoft Azure Cloud environments.
- Familiarity with digital transformation strategies and emerging technologies in the aviation or travel industries is highly desirable.
- Communication & Leadership Skills:
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior executives and board-level stakeholders.
- Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated capacity to influence cross-functional teams and drive collaborative success.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster strong relationships with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Project Management Competencies:
- Expertise in program management methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex budgets and deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
