The Program Manager- Engineering Training Programs leads the planning and delivery of customer-focused training programs that accelerate product adoption and strengthen technical capability. This role manages training initiatives linked to product development workflows, ensuring customers gain the knowledge and skills to effectively use advanced engineering and simulation tools. Acting as the central coordination point, the Program Manager collaborates closely with customers, product teams, and technical experts to deliver impactful, well-structured learning experiences that align with business and technology goals.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end planning,
coordination, and delivery of customer training and enablement programs aligned with product
development objectives.
- Engage with customers to
assess training needs, define learning goals, and align them with their
engineering and product innovation strategies.
- Collaborate with internal
technical experts, solution architects, and product managers to design and
implement high-impact training content.
- Manage training project
scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and success metrics.
- Coordinate logistics,
scheduling, and resource allocation for both in-person and online training
programs.
- Oversee the development of
customized training modules, hands-on workshops, and certification programs
that showcase real-world application of tools and solutions.
- Serve as the key interface
between customer and internal teams to ensure consistent communication and
high-quality delivery.
- Track and report program
progress, risks, and outcomes; identify opportunities for continuous
improvement in customer enablement.
- Support the integration of
customer feedback into training modules and delivery.
- Establish best practices,
frameworks, and tools for managing large-scale training and enablement
initiatives.
- Build long-term customer
relationships as a trusted advisor on learning and capability development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Product Development, or related technical field.
- Minimum experience: BS+10 or MS+8 in a technical project or program management environment.
- Proven experience managing customer training or enablement programs, preferably in engineering software, CAE, or enterprise technology domains.
- Project Management certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 preferred.
- Strong understanding of engineering product development lifecycles and simulation workflows.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across geographies and functions.
- Familiarity with training management tools, learning platforms (LMS), and project management systems (Zoho, Microsoft Project).
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
- 10+ years of experience managing customer enablement or training programs for enterprise software or engineering technology solutions.
- Experience in Aerospace, Automotive, or Advanced Engineering industries.
- Working knowledge of CAE, CAD, PLM, or product design software.
- Experience managing cross-functional teams under both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Strong facilitation, negotiation, and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to engage effectively with senior technical leaders and C-level executives.
Skills Required
