BAE Systems is a world leader in flight critical controls and avionics and is experiencing unprecedented growth. As a result, we are seeking highly experienced Development Program, Program Managers who have demonstrated the ability of leading and managing complex development programs throughout the project lifecycle. The selected individuals will be responsible for maintaining strong customer relationships and leading a multidisciplinary team to execute complex development programs within schedule and budget. We have multiple opportunities across a wide variety of military aircraft programs.
This position has the responsibility for the leadership and management oversight of a project team assuring that project's financials, schedule, and technical objectives are met and that the highest level of customer satisfaction is achieved while meeting all contractual commitments. Candidates for this role should have a demonstrated history of successfully supporting products both in and out of production.
The candidate must be able to work effectively and collaboratively with Engineering, Operations, and all Program Office functional leadership to assure deliveries continue to exceed customer commitments and achievement of financial commitments to the company. Manages, coordinates, plans, organizes, controls, integrates, and executes projects within the Military Aircraft Systems portfolio. Participates in the support of new business and in the development of proposals.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering or manufacturing management, or other discipline
- Minimum 8 years of demonstrated success leading execution of complex electronics production programs
- Demonstrated ability for building strong customer/ stakeholder relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions
- Highly adaptable with strong initiative
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of the global aviation market and regulatory requirements and/ or military aviation market
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Master's Degree in manufacturing, management, engineering or related disciplines
- 15 years of demonstrated experience leading a portfolio of production programs across one or more program platforms in a high tempo, defense aerospace electronics assembly environment
- Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Defense contract proposal preparation experience at values >$2M each
- Proven track record of favorable negotiation outcomes and successful program delivery at values >$5M each
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $124200 - $211100
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
