Manage end-to-end delivery of Finance transformation programs, ensuring alignment with stakeholders, documenting requirements, and supporting testing and adoption processes.
Summary Generated by Built In

The Finance PMO & Enablement team is the connective tissue of MongoDB's CFO organisation — enabling teams across Finance to deliver strategic, scalable impact. We collaborate across FinOps (Accounting, FP&A, Data Analytics, Real Estate, Corporate/Venture Development, and Business Operations) to drive scalable processes, operational efficiency, and transformative outcomes.

Our mission is to build a future-ready finance organisation — one that adapts, innovates, and accelerates MongoDB's growth through operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement. Program Managers are at the heart of how we deliver that mission — owning end-to-end execution of Finance transformation programs and ensuring that our initiatives land on time, in scope, and with measurable impact.

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based in Dublin for our hybrid working model.

The Role

As a Program Manager within the Finance PMO & Enablement team, you will own the end-to-end delivery of Finance transformation programs of small to medium scale and complexity. You'll manage program plans, coordinate cross-functional workstreams, maintain governance cadences, and keep stakeholders aligned — partnering closely with Business Analysts, IT, Finance functional leads, and external vendors to drive programs from initiation through to close.

This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who is highly organised, relationship-driven, and energised by getting things across the line in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. You don't just track tasks — you take ownership, solve problems, and make things happen.

What You'll Do

Own Program Delivery

  • Manage end-to-end delivery of assigned Finance programs — from charter and scoping through to testing, go-live, and post-implementation review
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, including critical path, milestones, dependencies, resource allocation, and risk and issue logs (RAID)
  • Monitor program progress against plan; proactively identify and resolve blockers, escalating where needed
  • Ensure programs are delivered in alignment with the Finance PMO's governance standards, templates, and operating model

Drive Stakeholder Alignment

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with Finance functional leads, IT partners, Business Analysts, and external vendors
  • Run effective program governance cadences — steering meetings, status updates, and working group sessions
  • Communicate program status, risks, and decisions clearly and consistently to stakeholders at all levels
  • Manage competing stakeholder priorities; drive consensus and keep programs moving through disagreement

Manage Requirements & Documentation

  • Collaborate with Business Analysts and Finance stakeholders to gather, validate, and document business requirements
  • Ensure clear handoff of requirements to IT and vendor teams; track delivery against agreed specifications
  • Develop and maintain program documentation — charters, plans, process flows, decision logs, and lessons learned

Support Testing & Adoption

  • Coordinate UAT planning and execution in partnership with Business Analysts and Finance functional leads
  • Partner with the Change Manager to ensure change and communications activities are integrated into program plans
  • Support post-go-live hypercare and program close activities; capture lessons learned and contribute to PMO continuous improvement

Contribute to PMO Operations

  • Contribute to Finance PMO intake and portfolio planning processes — providing accurate program data, effort estimates, and capacity inputs
  • Adhere to Finance PMO standards and tooling (Smartsheet); keep program data accurate and up to date
  • Support the Director, PMO & Portfolio Management in maintaining an accurate view of the Finance program portfolio
What You'll Bring

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; background in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred
  • PMP certification preferred; Agile, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent a plus

Experience

  • 4–6 years of program or project management experience within a Finance, Operations, or Technology environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional programs through the full lifecycle — scoping, planning, execution, testing, and close
  • Experience working with Finance processes (P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A) or Finance system implementations (e.g., NetSuite, Kyriba, Brex, Salesforce) preferred
  • Experience working in a high-growth global technology company preferred

Skills

  • Strong organisational skills — able to manage multiple workstreams, track details, and maintain momentum across competing priorities
  • Clear and confident communicator; able to run effective meetings and produce crisp written updates for diverse audiences
  • Relationship builder — able to gain trust quickly with Finance, IT, and vendor stakeholders
  • Comfortable with ambiguity; able to structure and drive work even when the path isn't fully defined
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet, Jira, or similar project management tooling
What We Offer
  • A delivery role with real ownership — you run programs end-to-end, not just support them
  • Exposure to MongoDB's Finance transformation portfolio with visibility to Finance leadership
  • A collaborative team environment where great execution is recognised and rewarded
  • Clear career development pathway within the Finance PMO — towards Senior PM and beyond
  • To drive the personal growth and business impact of our employees, we're committed to developing a supportive and enriching culture for everyone. From employee affinity groups to a generous parental leave policy, we value our employees' wellbeing and want to support them along every step of their professional and personal journeys
  • Competitive compensation package, including performance incentives
Nice to Haves
  • Experience with Finance ERP or SaaS implementations (NetSuite, Kyriba, Pigment, Brex/AppZen, Workiva)
  • Background in Accounting Operations or Finance Transformation
  • Familiarity with MongoDB or other SaaS technologies
  • Experience coordinating change management or training activities within a program
  • Experience with Program Management on the integrations process from M&A activities
