The Medical College of Wisconsin’s Department of Anesthesia is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant as their MSA Program Director. This position is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. 

Direct and oversee all aspects of the Anesthesiologist Assistant Program ensuring that the Program fulfills its mission, goals and objectives by performing the ascribed duties personally or through subordinate faculty and staff; complies with all accreditation standards and those established by the School of Medicine and the Department of Anesthesiology. The Program Director provides leadership and direction for the academic and clinical education of the Anesthesiologist Assistant students with the goal of educating the students to provide competent and appropriate care for patients.

Academic Responsibilities

Participate in admission processes and teaching of anesthesia practice and coursework. Advise students as needed. Responsive to student, staff, and faculty emails.
Qualifications: 
  • Required Education: Graduate degree (minimum of Masters) in education, administration, medicine, or the medical sciences. Completion of an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant training program.

    Required Experience: Requisite knowledge and skills to administer clinical and academic aspects of Anesthesiologist Assistant training. Have the requisite knowledge and skills to administer the operation of the overall program.

    Preferred Qualifications: Three years of experience serving in a formal role related to CAA training. Knowledge and experience with accreditation standards and requirements set by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP).

 

 
Licensure: 
  • Wisconsin licensure or eligible 

  • AHA BCLS and/or ACLS
