JOB SUMMARY

The Program Director reports to the Regional Director and is responsible for the coordination of direct client care and client activities of the facility while assisting in the supervision of all agency program staff as it pertains to direct client care. 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Development of program activities and program documentation procedures.
  2. Assist in the direction of the resident’s treatment as outlined in the resident’s Person Centered Plan in compliance with the Program Design.
  3. Transport clients as needed.
  4. Personnel Management
  5. Recruit and screen facility staff in accordance with Turning Point of Central California, Inc. policy and procedures.
  6. Make recommendations in regard to employing and terminating staff.
  7. Assist in the supervision of program staff regarding their skills, overall functioning and program management.
  8. Produce monthly reports as required not limited to treatment summaries, discharge summaries, or alteration of residents’ goals and outcomes.
  9. Work with Social Worker to assure compliance with proper chart documentation.
  10. Assist in the provision of direct services to clients—including working shifts to ensure adequate coverage if directed by each resident’s Person Centered Plan.
  11. Enter significant information related to client’s treatment in resident’s file.
  12. Assist in the coordination of the Person Centered Plan and individualized service plan for each resident.
  13. Oversee the admittance of all clients and that relevant admitting paperwork/information is complete.
  14. Attend relevant meetings, specifically participation on the treatment team assigned to the facility.
  15. Determine staff assignments to ensure the facility is staffed 7 days per week per contract.
  16. Approve and monitor expenditures and revenues, including client’s Purchase Authorization terms.
  17. Monitor facility food and supply stocks to maintain compliance with CCL regulations.
  18. Be present at the facility to resolve any major problems, including neighborhood complaints if any.
  19. Will drive on Agency business and transport clients if needed.
  20. Maintain regular on-site hours for successful oversight of program.
  21. Will think and act quickly and efficiently in emergencies.
  22. Physical presence at the program is required.
  23. Ensure direct report staff follow the agency’s timecard, PTO (Paid Time Off), and California’s rest and meal period policies. Will monitor staff timesheets to ensure they are completed accurately.
  24. Employees are expected to manage their cell phone use so that the Agency cell phone stipend covers all business usage. Any calls not covered by the stipend are to be made on a company landline phone.
Qualifications

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS

  1. Have a minimum of two years of prior experience providing direct care or supervision to individuals with developmental disabilities and be one of the following:
    1. (A) A Registered Behavior Technician.
    2. (B) A Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
    3. (C) A Qualified Behavior Modification Professional.
  2. Shall complete the Registered Behavior Technician Training within 60 days of date of hire and will maintain certification for duration of employment.
  3. Must complete the Residential Services Orientation
  4. Ability to supervise staff and work effectively with developmentally disabled system clients.
  5. Current certified training in CPR/First Aid procedures.
  6. Completion of 16 hours of Emergency Intervention Training (Pro-Act training, etc.) within the first 80 hours of employment.
  7. Have a current CCL Group Home Administrator Certification.
  8. Complete and pass DSP Year one within 6 months of employment and DSP Year 2 within first ear of employment.
  9. Must be available by cell phone as needed.
  10. Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Office 365, Teams, Zoom and other communication/meeting platforms.
  11. Possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a dependable means of transportation that is properly insured and operated in accordance with all laws. Agency insurer authorization is required. 
  12. Ability to pass a criminal background check.
  13. Ability to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, general physical, and TB test.
