As a Program Cost Control Analyst – Level 2 (Material Cost Management Analyst – Level 2), you will be pivotal in supporting missions critical to national and global security. This individual will focus on cost management for manufacturing labor and/or material for a restricted program.  This position is located in our Redondo Beach CA facility.


In this job, you will:

  • Work closely with fellow Program Cost Analysts (PCAs), Scheduling, Control Account Managers (CAMs), Manufacturing, and Global Supply Chain to perform business rhythm cycle of operational activities.
  • Performed Earned Value Metric (EVM) tasks including labor headcount actuals versus plan, manage the performance measurement baseline (PMB), prepare change requests (CRs), develop and maintain quantifiable backup data percent complete for budgeted cost of work performed (BCWP), create visibility reports, perform analysis and documentation for estimates at complete (ETC).
  • Perform analysis utilizing S/4 ERP views, visibility dashboards and PACE Software.
  • Support meetings and reviews by Integrated Product Teams (IPTs).

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant professional experience – OR – Master’s degree with 1+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Experience with accounting, financial analysis or reporting.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with program team, stakeholders, and various customers.
  • Requires an active Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business Administration.
  • Defense industry experience.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVMS) and industry standards EIA 748 guidelines.
  • Program Cost Control experience.
  • Experience with S/4 ERP Grouping Pegging Distribution (GPD).
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (MES).
  • Experience with Material Requirements Planning (MRP).
  • Proficiency of the following systems or software: Deltek COBRA (or similar), Microsoft Project, S/4 ERP, Analysis Office, PACE.
  • Experience in any of the following disciplines: Procurement, Logistics, Distribution, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing.

Primary Level Salary Range: $75,800.00 - $113,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
