Job Description

Vacancy type: New 

We are currently seeking a Program Assurance Technical Support to join our Infrastructure team, based out of Toronto, ON. The Program Assurance Technical Support role supports the Program Assurance Delivery Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining assurance processes across the Ontario Line program. The position contributes to the development of standardized assurance frameworks, tools, and reporting to support consistent, efficient, and high-quality delivery across multiple contracts and delivery teams.

Work Model: 5 days in office required

Salary Range: $75,000 – $85,000

Role Description

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support development and implementation of the Ontario Line Program Technical Assurance Plan, including associated processes and procedures
  • Assist in developing and maintaining program-level assurance schedules to ensure timely delivery of assurance activities across all contracts
  • Collaborate in the development and maintenance of assurance dashboards linking project-level performance to the overall program view
  • Support implementation of program-wide assurance tools integrating requirements and schedules across P3, Progressive Design-Build (PDB), and Design-Bid-Build (DBB) contracts
  • Track assurance milestones and monitor progress against defined assurance gate processes, identifying and reporting deviations
  • Assist in monitoring assurance activities including design reviews, non-conformances, departures, and overall delivery conformance
  • Support development and reporting of assurance metrics to measure program quality and performance
  • Contribute to integration of assurance systems and effective use of data to support decision-making
  • Promote collaboration, continuous improvement, and data integrity across the program
  • Identify and support implementation of innovative approaches to complex engineering and assurance challenges
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure protection of confidential and sensitive information in accordance with corporate and project requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline from an accredited university, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years of progressive experience supporting rail and/or civil infrastructure projects
  • Exposure to systems assurance and integration within transportation or rail projects (greenfield or brownfield preferred)
  • Familiarity with relevant assurance frameworks and standards such as CMREA, EN50126, and NFPA is considered an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic project environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships

Base Annual Salary: $75,000 - $85,000 CAD per year (Bantrel provides a competitive compensation package that reflects the skills, qualifications, and experience relevant to the role. The figures shared represent base salary only and do not include other elements of the Total Rewards offering. Final compensation will be determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and alignment with the role requirements.)
