Position Summary

The Program Analyst I supports program planning, integration, and management controls through cost, schedule, financial, and performance analysis. This position supports forecasting, budgeting, program reporting, risk and opportunity management, and compliance while providing analytical support to program teams and business leaders. This position will collaborate across functional areas to evaluate program performance, identify potential impacts, and provide information necessary to support effective business and program decisions.

Domestic travel may be required.

Essential Functions

o Monitor and analyze program data, identifying variances, trends, risks, and impacts to program objectives

o Support program controls activities, forecasts, budgets, and performance metrics

o Prepare program reports, dashboards, charts, and financial analyses to communicate program status

o Coordinate with other functions to evaluate changes, decisions, impacts, risks, and program requirements

o Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

Required Skills

o Working knowledge of EVMS, Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and cost/schedule performance analysis

o Knowledge of shipbuilding workflow, material flow, and production processes

o Working knowledge of ERP systems used for data analysis, reporting, and program controls

o Must have strong Microsoft Office Suite computer skills

o Must have strong organizational, time management, written and verbal communication skills

o Must have ability to maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor

o Must adhere to ISO and OSHA policies established by FMG and have high values for safety awareness

Education and Experience

o Associates degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience

o 2 Years of related experience required

o Knowledge of shipbuilding workflow, material processing, and production processes is preferred

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing job duties, the employee is frequently required to sit and occasionally stand or walk; use hands and arms to grasp, reach and type; stoop or kneel; and speak or hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. The position is primarily performed in a quiet, climate-controlled environment with minimal exposure to moving equipment, elements, or risk of injury. When entering the shipyard, there may be exposure to moving equipment, elements, or risk of injury.
