UOB Innovation Hub 2 (InnoHub2) is a UOB-wholly owned subsidiary and a Centre of Excellence based in Malaysia, providing Group Business Services (GBS) to support the UOB Group. Started in 2021 with technology application design, development and support, InnoHub2 is expanding beyond technology services to deliver other business services to support the Bank’s growth ambition. Job Objectives
Data Lost Prevention Analyst is an operational role within UOB’s Group Security Operations Center. The incumbent will be responsible for the continuous monitoring, analyzing, and investigating of insider threats and data leakage incidents. He/She must have good analytical and investigative skills to recognize and detect anomalous behavior.
Key Responsibilities
Perform daily DLP monitoring activities to help protect sensitive financial and customer data from unauthorized exposure.
Apply and follow established DLP policies aligned with banking regulations (e.g., PCI DSS, PDPA, GDPR).
Support incident response activities by investigating alerts related to customer PII, financial records, and potential insider threats.
Work closely with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and IT Security teams to assist with investigations, audits, and evidence gathering.
Participate in regular risk assessments and provide input on improvements to DLP processes, policies, tools, and automation opportunities.
Prepare and maintain DLP monitoring reports and escalate significant incidents to senior team members or management as required.
Contribute to team knowledge sharing through documentation updates and cross‑training sessions.
Required Skillsets
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 1–2 years focused on DLP or data protection in financial institutions.
Good understanding of banking regulatory requirements and data classification standards.
Hands‑on experience with enterprise DLP platforms (e.g., McAfee, Microsoft Purview, Forcepoint).
Familiarity with insider threat indicators, endpoint protection technologies, and SIEM integrations.
Strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with cross‑functional stakeholders.
Relevant certifications preferred: CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC (or progress toward these).
