Position SummaryThe Production Supervisor oversees daily operations across multiple departments within the bus manufacturing process. This role ensures that safety, quality, and production targets are consistently achieved while fostering a positive and engaged team environment. The Supervisor provides hands-on leadership, training, and coordination to drive efficient, on-time production of high-quality buses.
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6AM – 4:30PM with availability to support overtime on Friday’s and Saturday’s depending on production needs.

- Coordinate and support daily operations across 3–4 production departments ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production goals.
- Supervise and develop a team of lead hands and hourly production employees through coaching and performance feedback.
- Oversee ongoing training to ensure all employees follow proper procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Monitor labor efficiency, material usage, and workflow to identify and implement productivity improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, materials, and maintenance teams to resolve production challenges and drive process improvements.
- Maintain accurate production and performance records; analyze trends and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with policies and addressing hazards and concerns.
- Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen events.
- Participate in hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for departmental staff.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control systems, and production planning.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or lead position preferred, demonstrating strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams across multiple departments.
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Office 365 Application Suite and ERP systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and production reports.
- Experience or knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, 5S, or Kaizen considered an asset.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to decision-making.
Physical requirements:
- Regularly lift up to 10 lbs., frequently up to 25 lbs., and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, bend, stoop, reach, climb ladders, and work at heights.
- Exposure to vibration and moving mechanical parts is common.
