POSITION SUMMARY:
Primary responsibilities include providing leadership to production personnel on the operating floor and demonstrating excellence in commitment to our safety and quality initiatives.
The Production Supervisor is responsible for coaching, training, and developing direct reports in safety, quality, production, problem-solving, and technical skills involved in operating the production floor.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain Safety and compliance within the plant
- Achieve quality initiatives by leading processes to ensure the lowest cost and best quality
- Minimizing waste within the department by driving awareness, training, and accountability
- Drive the 5s Initiatives/housekeeping
- Drive maximum throughput within the department by increasing uptimes and machine speeds
- Work with the Maintenance team to maintain machine cleanliness and the PM schedule
- Review and analyze production reporting for accuracy.
- Coach and develop employees to maximize effectiveness
- Identifies systems and procedures designed to improve operations and makes necessary recommendations
- Performs other related duties as required
MUST HAVE:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Eight or more years in a corrugated manufacturing environment
- Five or more years of leadership experience
- Customer service-related experience, or equivalent training and experience in other plant operations
- The ability to take initiative, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines, and work in a team environment is essential
- Basic computer experience (word processing, Excel, and PowerPoint)
