Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Production Supervisor located in Dallas, TX.

Reporting to the Sr. Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing front-line employees in an assigned department to ensure efficiency and quality in production operations.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of the department.

  • Collaborates with production manager and supervisors to coordinate production activities in assigned department.

  • Regularly review production schedules to ensure deliverables for the department are met within deadlines given.

  • Partner with the Production Manager to track progress or changes to production schedules and communicate information to team members as appropriate.

  • Schedule personnel and arrange workflow for optimum efficiency and production.

  • Regularly inspects and evaluates products for quality and defects.

  • Identifies and corrects problems and inefficiencies in process, materials, equipment, or skills.

  • Develops and implements procedures and strategies to ensure a safe work environment.

  • Provide recommendations to increase productivity and efficiency of the department

  • Participates in the hiring and training front-line staff in assigned department.

  • Assists with performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

  • May handle discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:

  • Associates degree in related field, or equivalent industry work experience required; experience may be substituted for related work experience.

  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in mechanical assembly, wiring, or sheet metal fabrication.

  • At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of production and manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
