Position Overview:
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily production operations by planning schedules, assigning work, and maintaining staffing levels to support efficient workflow and operational consistency. This role provides leadership and support to employees while promoting safety, productivity, quality, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
Success in this role requires strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
The standard hours for this position are 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan work schedules, assign duties, and adjust staffing levels to meet operational and production demands.
- Supervise and support employees by reviewing work quality, resolving operational issues, and providing coaching related to performance, safety, and customer service.
- Enforce safety procedures and operational standards while overseeing housekeeping activities and inspecting equipment for compliance and wear.
- Support employee training and onboarding efforts, including forklift certifications and safety instruction.
- Maintain records related to training, inspections, staff meetings, and performance evaluations.
- Participate in hiring, promotions, disciplinary actions, and employee development initiatives.
- Collaborate with employees and management to identify operational improvements and support productivity goals.
- Monitor workflow and facility conditions to maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
- One or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Prior management experience preferred.
- Must be licensed to operate all industrial powered trucks on the premises.
- Ability to operate dollies, hand trucks, pallet jacks, wrapping machinery, and related equipment required.
