The Production Supervisor supports their teams daily operations, ensuring efficient operations while driving continuous improvement through lean principles and a culture of idea sharing and implementation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute staffing plans based on demand by area
  • Develop and sustain standard work for operations and positions
  • Fosters a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. 
  • Assess department constraints; communicate needs and propose solutions. 
  • Lead and ensure safe work practices
  • Facilitate and lead teams on control plans (PDCA). 
  • Lead kaizen activities and continuous improvement efforts
  • Lead MDI efforts and support team leads in identifying and implementing improvements. 
  • Work in close partnership with engineering to set priorities and successfully execute departmental goals.
  • Provide leadership and employee development.
  • Drive team performance against production targets (takt time, scrap, productivity)
  • Lead and coach teams toward improved performance in department presentations.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Minimum of two years’ experience working in a production setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree; and/or three years + related experience 
  • Exposure to lean manufacturing principals and tools, as well as an ability to apply that knowledge.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and achieving results
  • Proven experience applying standard work systems and knowledge of production flow.
  • Proficient computer skills, including tracking and trending performance metrics, preparing routine communications, updating shared documents, and managing Q-board content.
  • Ability to set goals based on company and department objectives and achieve results 
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and coach in a team-based environment.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all departmental processes and activities

The starting target salary range is $83,000 - $100,000, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.

 In addition to base salary, the compensation package also includes eligibility for a profit-sharing opportunity. Additionally, for eligible full-time employees, we offer a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability benefits; vacation and paid holidays; 401(k) retirement plan and employee stock ownership plan.
