The Production Supervisor is responsible for Supervision and coordination of production team members.
12 Hour Night Shift 7:00pm - 7:00am
In This Role, You'll Have The Opportunity To:
- Assure a safe working environment for all employees.
- Plans work for the shift operation and assigns work to production related operators.
- Assists in the selection and hiring process for new employees
- Train new employees
- Monitor quality, productivity, and scrap.
- Manage machine down time
- Administers company policies.
- · Responsible for accurate accounting of employees worked hours for payroll purposes.
- · Must be able to provide good leadership and set an example regarding safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Inspects products to verify conformance to specifications
- Interprets company policies for workers, enforces safety regulations
- ·Analyzes and resolves work problems, settles disputes, and assists workers in solving work problems.
- · Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department, or work crew
- Provides direct and honest communication with employees
- · Maintains floor cleanliness standard
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to write reports, procedures, and present to diverse audiences.
- Able to interpret technical materials, regulations, and business publications.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Able to interpret written, verbal, and visual instructions and adapt to non-standard situations.
- Solid understanding of statistics, geometry, and applied math (fractions, ratios, percentages).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and general PC use.
- Forklift certification required.
- Strong multitasking and conflict resolution abilities.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or Associate’s degree.
- 3–5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and move between departments regularly.
- Fine motor skills, visual focus, hearing, and driving ability required.
- Must be able to lift and move up to 75 lbs.
