Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to join the Audio Visual Team in Warsaw, IN.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, directing, and supervising daily manufacturing and 
assembly operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective production of high-quality products. This 
position provides leadership to production personnel, drives Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement 
initiatives, and ensures operational excellence in the areas of safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and cost. The 
Production Supervisor develops and coaches a high-performing workforce, optimizes labor and material 
resources, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations while achieving 
departmental and organizational goals.

Responsibilities

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES 

Safety Leadership 
Promote and maintain a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with safety policies, identifying and 
mitigating workplace hazards, supporting safety initiatives and investigations, enforcing proper equipment and 
material handling procedures, and fostering a culture where safety is a shared responsibility. 

Quality Management 
Ensure products and processes consistently meet company and customer quality standards by enforcing 
standardized work, monitoring process compliance, supporting corrective actions, overseeing rework activities, and driving continuous quality improvements through collaboration with cross-functional teams. 

Productivity & Operational Excellence 
Direct daily manufacturing operations to achieve production schedules and operational targets by managing 
workflow, balancing labor resources, coordinating material availability, removing production constraints, and 
implementing Lean Manufacturing principles to improve throughput, efficiency, and on-time delivery. 

Cost & Inventory Management 
Optimize manufacturing costs by effectively managing labor utilization, reducing waste, improving inventory 
accuracy, supporting root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies, coordinating product replenishment, and 
implementing process improvements that increase operational efficiency and reduce lead times. 

Customer Service & Cross-Functional Collaboration 
Support exceptional customer service by ensuring timely production and product availability, communicating 
production status, resolving issues that impact delivery, coordinating returned material processing, and partnering with Engineering, Inventory, Quality, Planning, and Customer Service to meet internal and external customer expectations. 

People Leadership & Development 
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team by recruiting, training, mentoring, evaluating 
performance, recognizing achievements, promoting employee engagement and accountability, and fostering a 
culture of teamwork, continuous learning, and continuous improvement. 

Continuous Improvement 
Drive operational excellence by leading Lean Manufacturing initiatives, developing and implementing standardized processes, monitoring performance metrics, identifying improvement opportunities, and championing a culture focused on safety, quality, productivity, and sustainable business growth.

Qualifications

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:  
• Dependable and enthusiastic with the ability to use good judgment, work independently with minimal direction, 
and possess a strong initiative and positive attitude 
• Strong process focus – ability to recommend and implement changes in processes to improve efficiency and 
performance 
• Excellent interpersonal skills  
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, specifications, work instructions, and manufacturing 
procedures 
• Proven knowledge and application of Lean Manufacturing Principles. (Kanban, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, 
Single Piece Flow….) 
• Understanding of MRP inputs and outputs 
• Must be detail-oriented and have excellent follow-through skills 
• Proven ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills 
• Strong metric focus 
• Proven ability to manage people; train and motivate employees, as well as delegate effectively  
• Must be able to function in a deadline-driven environment 
• Proven ability to make sound decisions to resolve problems effectively.  
• Excellent project management, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage several 
projects at one time while providing close attention to details 
• Must possess a high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information 
• Proficient in the use of personal computers, internet and Microsoft Office suite of software including Word, 
Excel and Outlook (or related e-mail system) 
• High math aptitude 
• Working knowledge of fabrication processes, including welding, machining, cutting, forming, grinding, 
assembly, and finishing operations. 
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently 

Minimum Education and Experience Required: 
• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of (2) years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing 
environment OR 5-7 years of supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing environment OR 
combination of relevant education and experience. 
• Previous experience with ERP systems

Skills Required
