BAE Systems Integrated Defense Solutions is looking for a highly motivated, organized, and goal oriented person to oversee operations and employees in the Production Department. This position reports directly to the Program Management Office Lead. The selected candidate is expected to have a hands on approach to providing technical assistance and direction to production department employees as necessary to ensure the quality, cost-effective and timely completion of work associated with all company projects for which the department is responsible. The Production Supervisor is required to assist the production team when not performing administrative duties and will be involved in the hiring and supervision of employees, terminations/reorganizations, and employee promotions and demotions. The Production Supervisor is also responsible for ensuring that employees comply with company policies and procedures.
Some of the key Production Supervisor duties and responsibilities include:
Ensuring that the employees are pursuing company goals for Safety, Quality and Productivity.
Reviewing project schedules and budgets during the planning phase.
Ensuring adequate support of all projects by working with the Production Planner and ensuring proper allocation of human resources.
Overseeing and monitoring project completion schedules, investigation of late activities, and assistance with project supervision and the development of practical solutions to all issues preventing timely and effective project completion.
Developing productivity enhancements and investigating over-budget items.
Reviewing, approving, and submitting travel documents from employees who have travel assignments.
Overseeing personnel-related functions, including the hiring and supervision of employees, performance management, terminations, reorganizations, promotions and demotions.
Ensuring employees understand and adhere to company policies.
Training employees in the areas of technical knowledge, safety, environmental and communication.
Investigating new technologies to improve the company's capabilities and productivity.
This position is located in Spring Lake, NC. There is no relocation assistance available for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to Spring Lake or surrounding areas.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High school diploma and at least 6 years of related experience
Cable fabrication experience
Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and instructions
Mechanical aptitude and experience with a range of hand and power tools
Ability to frequently work in an sitting, standing, or walking position
Ability to frequently lift and carry 10 pounds and occasionally lift and carry 50+ pounds
Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and work with hazardous material
Ability to work in confined spaces
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. state driver's/operator's license or permit
Ability to travel within the U.S. and overseas (up to 75%) and obtain a US passport, as required
Basic operational skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Outlook and Excel
EMPLOYEE WILL BE REQUIRED TO HAVE A PERSONAL SET OF BASIC HAND TOOLS. LIST OF REQUIRED TOOLS WILL BE PROVIDED.

Fiber Certified / BICSI Cableway training (such as NAVSEA Cableway Certification)

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $55150 - $93755
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
