Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead production personnel by providing supervision and training, scheduling work, resolving problems, and providing direction, discipline and evaluations.
- Identify staffing needs, interview, and recommend employee selection.
- Work toward the achievement of department, site, and company goals in production, quality, and other standards.
- Monitor and report daily production results, such as downtime, efficiencies, material shortage, and waste.
- Interact with other internal functional departments, such as Quality and Engineering, to solve issues and improve productivity.
- Ensure compliance to standards such as time and attendance, safety, SOP (standard operating procedures), and housekeeping practices.
- Apply expertise in resolving problems associated with production and procedures.
- Participate in productivity improvement projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead, train, mediate, and motivate employees
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Basic quality and manufacturing safety knowledge required
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, SAP, and Oracle required
- Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma required, Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred.
- 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role required.
- 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
