Job Description:
This position is responsible for supervising and guiding production personnel to achieve on-time and quality manufacturing.
                                            
Duties and Responsibilities:
 
  • Lead production personnel by providing supervision and training, scheduling work, resolving problems, and providing direction, discipline and evaluations.
  • Identify staffing needs, interview, and recommend employee selection.
  • Work toward the achievement of department, site, and company goals in production, quality, and other standards.
  • Monitor and report daily production results, such as downtime, efficiencies, material shortage, and waste.
  • Interact with other internal functional departments, such as Quality and Engineering, to solve issues and improve productivity.
  • Ensure compliance to standards such as time and attendance, safety, SOP (standard operating procedures), and housekeeping practices.
  • Apply expertise in resolving problems associated with production and procedures.
  • Participate in productivity improvement projects.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
 
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, mediate, and motivate employees
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Basic quality and manufacturing safety knowledge required
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, SAP, and Oracle required
  • Must have ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment

Education and Experience:
 
  • High School diploma required, Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred.
  • 2 years’ experience in a supervisory role required.
  • 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
