Job Description
As a Production Supervisor, you will lead production operations to achieve our goals related to quality, cost, delivery and safety. You will work with teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations, improve initiatives, and develop production employees in an evolving team environment.
You will report to PRODUCTION & ROS MANAGER.
You will work in Onsite work mode based in our Chennai plant in Kancheepuram, India.
Your Responsibilities:
- Excellent planning and production plan based on shipment deadline and material supply, equipment and manpower, and execute production schedule.
- Manage production operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures to ensure smooth production operation.
- Responsible for meeting production goals with respect to high quality, low cost, on time delivery, safety and 5S.
- Working with cross function team to solve production issues and escalate as necessary.
- Excels at Project management, to be able to lead new product introducing/transferring to support business growth.
- Initiate continuous improvement programs that lead to improvement in quality, cost, delivery, efficiency and safety.
- Develop training metrics and training plan, train and coach production employees, conduct employee performance review and develop people.
- Coordinate production activities with other functional groups.
- Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO9001, ISO14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Typically, 10+ years of experience in an electrical / electronic / mechanical product manufacturing environment. Demonstrate knowledge of production principles, cross function understanding and frontline leadership experience. And passion for learning.
- Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical.
- Proficiency in English (writing and reading specially).
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software.
- Familiar with SAP system operation skills.
- Flexible with shift arrangements.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Lean-Six Sigma background.
- Project management experience.
- AutoCAD / Creo / Catia knowledge.
- Communicate and share information effectively with others in presentations, reports, meetings.
- Assist and be responsive to the needs of teams and team members as well as other individuals, in the pursuit of business goals.
- Ensure thorough familiarity with company policies and procedures in compliance with government law.
- Coach, develop and direct the activities of operators in an evolving team environment.
- Influence and lead others in the accomplishment of production projects.
