Job DescriptionSummary:
The Production Supervisor is a hands-on leader responsible for overseeing daily operations across Electrical Integration and Final Assembly. This role ensures electrical, mechanical, and assembly activities are completed safely, accurately, and efficiently while meeting production schedules and quality standards. The Supervisor leads and develops team members, coordinates workflow, resolves technical issues, and collaborates with Engineering, Quality, Safety, and Production teams to support successful project execution.
Accountabilities:
Leadership & Production Management
Lead and coordinate daily activities across Electrical Integration and Final Assembly teams.
Assign, schedule, and prioritize work to meet production deadlines and customer requirements.
Monitor labor efficiency, workflow, and project progress.
Provide coaching, mentoring, training, and performance feedback to team members.
Support employee development, performance evaluations, corrective actions, and succession planning.
Maintain accurate labor reporting, timecard approvals, and department documentation.
Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
Electrical Integration Oversight
Supervise installation, modification, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical systems, controls, and equipment.
Ensure compliance with NEC requirements, electrical diagrams, and company quality standards.
Interpret and verify schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
Oversee installation of conduit, wireways, cable trays, and electrical raceways.
Support troubleshooting of control wiring, utilities, and electrical equipment using appropriate testing devices.
Conduct quality inspections to ensure proper wiring and equipment installation.
Final Assembly Oversight
Oversee assembly and installation of generator systems, including fuel, exhaust, air, hydraulic, and mechanical components.
Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation to guide assembly activities.
Troubleshoot assembly and enclosure issues while supporting team problem-solving efforts.
Conduct quality checks, defect correction activities, and final quality plan reviews.
Coordinate material requirements and support project milestone tracking.
Safety & Quality
Enforce all company safety policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, NEC standards, and company quality requirements.
Train employees on safety practices, department procedures, and standard operating procedures.
Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and Safety teams to resolve technical and operational issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
8+ years of electrical experience.
5+ years of manufacturing, assembly, electrical integration, or related industrial experience.
2+ years of supervisory or lead experience.
Strong understanding of electrical systems, control wiring, and mechanical assembly processes.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements and quality standards.
Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.
Strong leadership, communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Forklift, Telehandler, and aerial lift certification preferred.
Electrical journeyman experience or industrial electrical background preferred.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
FLSA executive role paid on a hourly basis; project demands may require workweeks over fifty (50) hours, including weekends or holidays.
Work performed primarily in a heavy manufacturing environment with exposure to indoor and outdoor conditions.
Mobility: Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, or crouch for extended periods.
Manual Dexterity: Frequent use of hands to handle wiring, tools, electrical components, and testing devices.
Lifting Requirements: Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and pushing/pulling up to 100 lbs in accordance with OSHA standards.
Visual/Auditory Requirements: Must be able to see wiring colors, read schematics, and hear instructions or alarms.
Must successfully complete background and drug screening.
