What you will do -
As the Production Supervisor, you will draw from your experience to craft a vision for your team in line with broader organization goals, while building strong relationships and trust with your frontline team and peers. You will lead with an encouraging and exciting demeanor, listening, and learning from those around you. Your responsibilities will include developing and guiding the growth and development of 20 employees performing repair, shipping, and inspection activities, ensuring they receive adequate training and upholding safety and quality standards, aligning with established policies and procedures. Building strong relationships with each member of your team is central to effectively leading and managing their performance and executing larger business initiatives. This is an onsite role. The employee must work 100% at the San Jose, CA Stryker business site.
Forecasts staffing needs to meet peak demands of the business and staffs team accordingly, trains, motivates, coaches, rewards, and disciplines employees being supervised; resolves personnel issues.
Establishes and maintains department standards for productivity, reliability, safety, and accuracy.
Monitors and reports daily production results, material usage, waste, and downtime.
Coordinates with quality control to maintain quality standards; takes appropriate corrective measures to resolve deficiencies.
Manages personnel issues including but not limited to vacation approvals, timecard approval, daily and weekly overtime, hiring, and training.
Assists with development and implementation of policies and procedures; ensures all established policies and procedures are followed by employees.
Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area.
Occasional exposure to salesforce support.
Required -
Bachelors degree
4 years of related or Industry experience
Preferred -
Prior leadership experience leading and managing team performance
Lean six sigma certifications
Supplier management experience
Data analytic experience
SAP or other ERP experience
$116,100 - $193,400 USD Annual
