The Production Supervisor MP&L position is a supervisory leadership role supported by on-the-job training, development, and opportunity for career progression. Production Supervisors are:

What you'll do...
- Responsible for the daily material handling functions for the facility and for the department
- Ensure proper material flow from receiving dock, to marketplace storage location, to the production line feed location, to the delivery of finished product to customers
- Provide direction and support in the allocation of resources in order to appropriately cover material handling responsibilities
- Support Ford Production System and synchronous material flow through lean manufacturing practices
- Assure all safety, quality, delivery, cost, morale, environment, production throughput, budgets, practices, objectives, and improvements are met
- Meet First Time Through, inventory, cost, scrap, supply, and tooling expense targets
- Coach Safety, Quality and Productivity by following standardized work
- Lead and manage unionized hourly personnel
- Provide communication and recognition
- Build hourly Team Leader and Team Member capability
- Create a conducive work environment for the team(s) to complete their assigned responsibilities / tasks
- Support Kaizen (Continuous Improvement) and coach problem resolution to the lowest level
- Basic administration of supervisory responsibilities and documents
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Capable of assigning work to unionized hourly workforce and holding employees accountable for following processes pertaining to daily work assignments in terms safety, quality, and throughput
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Strong problem-solving and conflict management skills
- Ability to work any shift as well as rotating shifts and weekends
You'll have...
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year logistic experience
- 6 months supervisory experience
- 1+ Microsoft Office experience
Even better, you may have...
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Operations, Transportation & Logistics, Supply Chain Management & Information Systems or Business Mgmt.
- Material Handling Supervision or assembly and machining experience desired
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles experience
- Knowledge of constraint management principles experience
- Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills

This position is a salary grade 6-7 - from $72,480 -$141,360
