Supervise night-shift production to meet quality, quantity, and safety goals. Plan and maintain schedules, train and lead operators, manage twin-screw extruder, bulk handling and mixing operations, implement corrective actions, enforce policies, and support improvement projects.

Responsible for overall production and the quality and quantity of products, while maintaining a high level of safety. Responsibilities will include planning, organizing, and leading the human and operational resources. This is a very “hands-on” position which includes working closely with production personnel.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Responsible for shift employee activities relating to performance measurement, training and administrating company policies and programs as they relate to manufacturing operations.
  • Maintains production schedule, making the most effective use of production hours, while monitoring quality and quantity of products. Establishes corrective actions if necessary.
  • Responsible for the safe operation of all manufacturing processes.
  • Maintains thorough understanding of operation of a twin-screw extruder, bulk handling system and mixing station.
  • Communicates with employees the company goals and helps employees manage and understand change. Sets a high standard of social behavior through education and by example.
  • Other duties and project responsibilities as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree preferred in Polymer Science, Chemical, Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in supervision with plastics, plastics extrusion or related manufacturing environment is required.
  • Sound technical skills; must be fair and impartial.
  • Requires strong communication, problem solving and leadership skills.

Work Schedule: Must be available for 12-hour shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Skills Required

  • Bachelor of Science in Polymer Science, Chemical, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or related
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience in supervision within plastics, plastics extrusion, or related manufacturing environment
  • Thorough understanding and operational experience with twin-screw extruder, bulk handling systems, and mixing stations
  • Experience supervising shift employees and administering manufacturing policies and programs
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and leadership skills
  • Sound technical skills and ability to maintain safe operation of manufacturing processes
  • Availability to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM)
