Job Description Summary:

We are seeking an outstanding individual to become a part of the GP Compliance Department. The GP Scheduler/Planner will be responsible for communicating with internal and external contacts to develop, produce, distribute and maintain all schedules for critical activities within the GP operation in the West Region. This position will report to the Regional Vice President and be located in Sallisaw, OK.

Job Description:

  • To manage a Production Plan based on sales requirements in line with processing machines capacities, materials and manpower availability and other resources
  • Being fully integrated into the daily operations of multiple departments
  • Understanding the needs and movements of each department
  • Seamless integration of all schedules
  • Developing, producing, maintaining and distributing:
  • GP Placement Schedule
  • Spike Schedule
  • Depletion Schedule
  • Clean Out Schedule
  • Hatchery Schedule
  • Vaccination Schedule
  • Disinfect Schedule
  • Shavings Schedule
  • Wash Schedule
  • Performing daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
  • Bio-security and health & safety are major responsibilities
  • May perform other tasks as deemed necessary by management

Job Qualifications:
Poultry processing experience in a supervisory or managerial role in production or planning

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a suitable field
  • Highly numerate data rational, with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent English written & verbal communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and flexibility to changing work schedules required
  • Strong attention to detail is required
  • At least 5 years’ experience in Production Planning environment with at least 3 years’ experience in a ERP system
  • At least 3 years experiences in an environment preferably Poultry Plant
  • Previous managerial level experience in planning
  • High degree of self-organizational skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to “multi-task” and operate in an intensive environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of Window office
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Solid ERP experience related to demand, supply and production planning and scheduling
  • Ability of establish short and long term goals to meet customer needs

Skills Required

  • Poultry processing experience in a supervisory or managerial role in production or planning
  • Bachelor's degree in a suitable field
  • At least 5 years' experience in a Production Planning environment
  • At least 3 years' experience using an ERP system
  • At least 3 years' experience in a production environment (experience in a poultry plant preferred)
  • Previous managerial level experience in planning
  • Solid ERP experience related to demand, supply and production planning and scheduling
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Highly numerate, strong analytical skills
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task in an intensive environment
  • Knowledge of biosecurity and health & safety procedures
  • Ability to establish short- and long-term goals to meet customer needs
