Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Production Planner – Level 1 or Level 2 to join our team in Gilbert, AZ.      

The Production Planner is responsible for a variety of processes. They work alongside various personnel to review demand planning systems to ensure needed materials are available in inventory and issued to the manufacturing team to support operations. 
 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Create, kit, manage, and maintain manufacturing orders to control and support production on the manufacturing floor
• Utilizes and manages MRP systems (Costpoint and Sync) to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials in time to meet production schedule and requirements
• Interfaces with Stockroom and Receiving Quality Control personnel to ensure parts are in inventory in time to support the production plan
• Ensure that all materials needed for manufacturing orders are kitted and delivered to point of use and that materials are consumed accurately and timely in Costpoint
• Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed.
• Schedules and expedites the movement of materials by means of inventory moves, transfers, and requests for shipping orders.
• Seeks process and planning feedback from operations and incorporates into planning where possible
• Reconcile inventory problems by leveraging relationships with other departments: including operations, stockroom, receiving quality control, and shipping
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications for Level 1:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 0 years related experience.  

• No clearance required to start

• Experience in production control planning or scheduling
• Excellent computer skills with the ability to become an expert in the company's MRP system, Electronic Shop Floor work instruction software and document/engineering management software
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Excellent productivity and organizational skills
• Ability to comprehend and analyze complex problems and develop solutions
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and execute quickly at the highest quality
• Experience working with others to improve processes and overall efficiencies

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:

• High School diploma or equivalent and 2 years related experience.  

• No clearance required to start

• Experience in production control planning or scheduling

• Excellent productivity and organizational skills

 Preferred Qualifications:  

• Costpoint knowledge
• Knowledge of MRP practices.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality controls

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards 

Primary Level Salary Range: $40,700.00 - $67,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $48,400.00 - $80,600.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
