About the role

To carry out packing/manufacturing operations for Tablets, Balm, Powder, and Liquid products while maintaining hygiene, safety, and quality standards. The role includes operating packing machinery, rotating across departments, and ensuring accurate and efficient packing of finished goods, aligned with Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality compliance.

Key responsibilities

  • Follow garment and footwear change procedures when entering the factory and packing areas, as per SOPs.
  • The Packing Operative is responsible for carrying out packing tasks in compliance with safety, quality, and hygiene standards. They are accountable for following procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and reporting any issues to ensure smooth and compliant operations..
  • Work in packing or manufacturing areas as directed by the supervisor.
  • Operate packing machines and assist in changeovers as required
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Master Packing Instructions (MPIs) for all packing operations.
  • Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices using only updated documents.
  • Keep the workstation and packing line clean, dry, and organized at all times.
  • Clean machines, equipment, and accessories as per SOPs and supervisor instructions.
  • Conduct In-Process Checks (IPC) and rework activities as required during packing operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of departmental activities.
  • Stay alert to near-miss incidents and report them to the supervisor for corrective/preventive actions.
  • Report any deviations, damages, or machine faults to the supervisor immediately
  • Be familiar with and follow the site’s Emergency Response Procedures.
  • Engage in waste minimization, energy saving, water saving, continuous improvement initiatives and HAPS activities.
  • Support startup and clearance activities to ensure smooth plant operations.
  • Assist other departments during job rotation opportunities based on business needs and personal development.
  • Work night shifts, extended shifts and weekends as per the shift schedule.
  • Assist in enhancing site performance by contributing to other production departments as directed by the supervisor

Qualifications and skills

Essential

  • More than three months prior experience in a manufacturing or packing environment
  • G.C.E. O/L or equivalent qualifications
  • G.C.E. A/L qualification and qualification has the fundamental knowledge and hands on skills required to safely and efficient operate basic machinery in the workplace
  • To maintain factory , quality and compliance requirement
  • Willingness to work in a hygienic and regulated environment.
  • Ability to work night shifts and rotate between departments.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
