The Role
T1 Energy is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Production Manager to support and execute manufacturing operations at our Wilmer, TX facility. This role is responsible for managing daily production activities, ensuring safety and quality standards are met, and driving team performance to achieve production targets within a solar energy manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
Lead and manage day-to-day production operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives are consistently achieved
Drive execution of production schedules while ensuring operational efficiency, workforce optimization, and attainment of output targets
Provide leadership, coaching, and development for production supervisors, team leads, and frontline employees to build a high-performing culture
Partner with senior operations leadership to develop and execute production strategies aligned with business goals and customer demand
Own staffing, workforce planning, onboarding, performance management, and employee development in collaboration with HR and recruiting
Champion a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement across all assigned production areas
Lead implementation and sustainment of lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, waste reduction, process optimization, and operational excellence programs
Monitor and analyze production performance metrics, including throughput, downtime, labor efficiency, scrap, rework, and yield; drive corrective actions as needed
Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), quality standards, and regulatory compliance requirements
Utilize MES (Manufacturing Execution System) and production reporting tools to monitor performance, improve traceability, and support data-driven decision-making
Identify operational bottlenecks and lead root cause analysis efforts to resolve recurring production and process issues
Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Planning teams to improve production flow and operational performance
Lead and support continuous improvement projects focused on productivity, cost reduction, equipment utilization, and process stability
Manage inventory accuracy and material flow through effective production control and cycle count participation
Ensure compliance with all company policies, environmental standards, and workplace safety regulations
Foster a clean, organized, and audit-ready manufacturing environment

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required (manufacturing, engineering, operations management, or related field preferred)
Bilingual in Spanish preferred
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in solar, electronics, semiconductor, or high-volume production
5+ years of leadership experience in a manufacturing management role required
Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced production environment with accountability for operational performance
Strong understanding of MES systems, production reporting, and manufacturing data analysis
Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement methodologies
Experience managing KPIs related to safety, quality, productivity, scrap, and efficiency
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and employee development skills
Ability to work flexible schedules and support changing production demands as needed
