Production Manager (Print Production & Operations Management)
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Production Manager to oversee end-to-end print production workflows and operational processes. This role is responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality, color accuracy, and production efficiency.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing production teams, print workflows, scheduling, and quality control in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and document job workflows and production instructions for print operations
- Create and manage production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of all projects
- Oversee all projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines, quality, and cost targets are met
- Supervise and assign work to the production team, ensuring efficient workflow distribution
- Maintain a strong eye for color accuracy, print quality, and production consistency
- Manage packaging, fulfillment, and shipping preparation for all deliverables
- Oversee shipping logistics, tracking, and coordination of outbound materials
- Source, evaluate, and qualify new print materials, substrates, and production supplies
- Conduct research and development (R&D) for new production processes and workflow improvements
- Troubleshoot production challenges and implement effective problem-solving solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve efficiency, output quality, and operational performance
- Maintain production tracking and reporting using Microsoft Excel and related tools
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or in print production/operations leadership role
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing production teams in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production management tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Exceptional attention to detail with a strong focus on quality assurance and color accuracy
Skills Required
