About the Role:
As an Engineering Manager in CrowdStrike’s Production Systems Automation & Development team, you will lead a group of gifted software development engineers responsible for the creation and refinement of tools used to deploy and manage CrowdStrike’s private cloud-native
infrastructure.

The Engineering Manager will play a key role in shaping the architecture and implementation of a stable, scalable and flexible production environment for a growing hyperscaler. You will be responsible for the workload management, well-being, and professional growth of the engineers on your team. You’ll help foster an open and collaborative environment while enhancing the support systems utilized to enable your team’s success.

What You’ll Need:

  • MS in Computer Science or related field and/or equivalent work experience

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering/development as an engineer or technical lead with 2-3+ years of experience in a hands-on people-manager role.

  • Strong cross-org collaboration and interpersonal communication skills working across a variety of roles including engineering, product/project management, and executive leadership.

  • Experience working within a large-scale distributed production environment and developing/troubleshooting applications across functional teams.

  • Solid design and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated passion for engineering excellence, quality, security and performance. Adept at understanding and curious about new technologies, systems, and tools.

  • Experience shipping high-quality software in a cloud-native environment.

  • An energetic self-starter with the ability to take ownership and be accountable for deliverables.

  • A demonstrated track record leading remote teams and hiring, onboarding, mentoring and developing high-performing software engineers.

  • Broad knowledge of modern software development methodologies utilizing container orchestration systems (Docker and Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.

  • A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from both a process and tools (such as Jira) perspective, including a talent for planning, tracking, delivering and managing multiple complex projects across teams.

  • A knack for nailing down details and the ability to empower best practices and drive change throughout an organization.

  • Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency and drive business outcomes.

Bonus Points:

  • Building & scaling distributed systems on large-scale bare metal & virtual data center infrastructure.

  • A cost optimization and cost-of-goods-sold focus.

  • Professional Go programming language experience writing scripts/applications for automation, tools, dashboards, and/or alarms.

  • Scrum or other agile methodology leadership experience
