Effectively lead and manage the operations of the Production Department, maintaining an efficient, optimized, continuous, state-of-the-art, and cost-effective operation to ensure the delivery of high-quality products to our customers, in accordance with the established production plan and the organization’s procedures and standards.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Lead, supervise, and manage daily Bindery production operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, quality, and on-time delivery.
  • Coordinate production activities with Planning and Production Supervisors based on work orders, inventory, equipment capacity, staffing, and customer demand.
  • Ensure production equipment, systems, and processes are properly maintained and operating at optimal performance.
  • Partner with Maintenance, Engineering, IT, Facilities, and external vendors to resolve equipment and operational issues.
  • Develop and execute production plans to meet departmental goals and production forecasts.
  • Monitor downtime, material waste, machine adjustments, production delays, and other factors affecting operational performance.
  • Manage employee relations, including recruitment, training, performance evaluations, investigations, corrective actions, and attendance matters in partnership with HR.
  • Analyze production reports and KPIs to identify trends, improve productivity, and ensure production targets are consistently achieved.
  • Develop and improve departmental procedures, processes, and work standards to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize material usage, minimize waste, improve productivity, and reduce operating costs.
  • Collaborate with customers, Sales, Customer Service, and internal teams on new products, artwork changes, and existing product requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of current printing and manufacturing technologies and recommend improvements to equipment, systems, and processes.
  • Participate in the installation, qualification, and implementation of new equipment, technologies, and production processes.
  • Partner with Quality to conduct testing, validations, evaluations, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Implement and maintain quality control systems to ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and company standards.
  • Investigate production incidents, rejected materials, process deviations, and customer specification issues; develop and implement corrective actions.
  • Coordinate employee training, retraining, certifications, and cross-training to improve workforce flexibility and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure employees consistently follow established procedures, GMPs, safety requirements, PPE requirements, and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and FDA requirements.
  • Communicate regularly with Operations and General Management regarding production performance, operational issues, goals, and improvement initiatives.
  • Resolve operational challenges promptly and implement effective solutions to prevent recurring issues.
  • Promote teamwork, accountability, continuous improvement, and a respectful and professional work environment.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company, employee, customer, pricing, and operational information.
  • Support additional operational responsibilities and projects as required by the business.
